Terms of Service

Effective October 16, 2026

These terms cover your use of clilu.com and its apps ("CLILU", "we"). By using CLILU you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. What CLILU is

CLILU shows land parcel boundaries and property information compiled from county, state and other public records. We don't create these records and can't guarantee they are complete, current or correct. Parcel lines are approximate and are not a survey. Don't rely on CLILU for boundary disputes, construction, legal descriptions or title decisions; use a licensed surveyor, title company or the county records office.

2. Not a consumer report

CLILU is not a consumer reporting agency, and its data is not a "consumer report" under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You may not use CLILU data, in whole or in part, to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing or any other purpose covered by the FCRA.

3. Acceptable use

  • Don't use CLILU to stalk, harass, threaten or intimidate anyone, or to locate a person who doesn't want to be found.
  • Don't scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site or API beyond what your plan allows, or try to get around limits or security.
  • Don't resell or republish CLILU data as a competing dataset or service.
  • Follow all laws that apply to you, including anti-spam (CAN-SPAM), telemarketing (TCPA) and privacy laws when you contact owners.

We may suspend accounts or block access that breaks these rules.

4. Accounts

You need an account for paid plans. Keep access to your email secure; sign-in links are sent there. You're responsible for activity on your account.

5. Paid plans and billing

  • Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe.
  • You can cancel anytime from your account; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable for partial periods.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email before your next renewal.
  • Export and lookup limits are listed on the pricing page.

6. Data you export

Exports are licensed to you for your own use and your organization's use. Some counties restrict commercial use of their data; you are responsible for following any such terms for the counties you work in.

7. Removal requests

Anyone may ask us to withhold an owner's name from CLILU, using the removal request form. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle these.

8. No warranty; limits of liability

CLILU is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll post it here with a new effective date and, for paid accounts, tell you by email.
