Privacy Policy

Property records

CLILU republishes property records that counties and states make public: parcel boundaries, owner names, situs and mailing addresses, assessed values and sales. We collect them from government sources and update them regularly.

  • Search engines:pages we publish for search engines show owner names only for companies, trusts, churches and government bodies. Individuals are shown as "Private owner" on those pages.
  • On the map: clicking a parcel shows the owner as recorded by the county.
  • New Jersey: we do not publish New Jersey owner information.

Removal requests

Anyone can ask us to withhold an owner's name and mailing address, including judges, law enforcement officers, public officials, people protected by an address confidentiality program, and survivors of domestic violence or stalking. Use the removal request form. We act on requests within 3 business days and hide the owner on the map, in search, in exports and in our API. We may ask for details needed to find the right parcel; we don't require proof of identity for safety-related requests.

Account information

  • Your email address, to sign you in and send account and billing messages.
  • Your plan and billing status. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
  • Removal requests you send us, kept so we can keep honoring them.

Usage information

We count page views without cookies, using a daily-rotating anonymous visitor code that can't be linked across days. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate site performance.

What we share

We don't sell your account information. We share it only with services that run CLILU for us (hosting, database, email, payments) and when the law requires.

Your choices

You can delete your account or ask what we hold about you through the contact and removal form(choose "Other"). Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws; we honor them when they apply.
